Cucumber Treats

My dogs like vegetables.  Dogs are omnivores, so they can do fruits and vegetables along with meat and other sources of protein.  One of the treats I like to use on a hot summers day, are frozen cucumber halves.

Cucumbers contain vitamin K, potassium, copper, manganese, vitamin C and B1 and magnesium.  Cucumbers are also 96% water - good way to sneak hydration into your dogs if you are worried about how much they aren't drinking on hot days.  You can feed the cucumbers raw or shredded, but I like to freeze them and give the dogs something to occupy their minds while they work at eating the treat.

Cut in half.
Freeze.
Rogue and Doolin: Treat!
Rogue: Doolin, you stay away now.
Doolin: nom nom nom.
And hopefully, the frozen treats will cut down on the excavation projects Rogue and Doolin have going on in their kennel...

Give us our treats!  Rohan, Turin, and Gambit.
Rohan: nom nom
Gambit in "his" corner.  Where he goes to eat treats.
Quin: Are you sure I'll like this?
Turin: nom nom
